Configure Mobilelink

Download Zoiper from www.zoiper.com or from the PlayStore, Windows App store or Apple Store and enter the configurations given below.

If you are using an iPhone or iPad please use the QR provisioning method below after installing Zoiper on your phone. You must enter your Mobilelink number below and

If you wish to configure your softphone manually you may use the configurations given below.

On the application on your phone or PC, find the settings and Add new Account.

Use the following settings for manual dialer configuration

  • Account Name: Mobilelink
  • Username: +26386449**** (* as the rest of your Mobilelink number)
  • Password: [as given or as set], check your email for your password or reset it from here
  • Authentication username: +26386449xxxxx@africom.com (where x represents your Mobilelink number)
  • Domain: africom.com
  • Proxy: 41.221.159.76

Common errors

  • Error 403 forbidden: This is a username password error. Check your username and password. Also check if the Authentication Username is set.
  • Failed to connect to server, and connection errors: Verify Proxy and domain. Also check your internet connection for speed and SIP VoIP restrictions.
  • Failing to call: Check your credit. Or try dialing number without the (263) international code, e.g 04252112.
  • Poor voice quality: Check your internet connection. Mobilelink is an internet based service, it requires a stable internet connection.
